An efficient cross docking operation increases efficiency and productivity within the supply chain. By consolidating and deconsolidating according to origin and destination in a continuous operation storage times can be reduced or in many cases eliminated all together. It allows to have an interesting reduction of costs for storage, distribution, inventory and personnel. By reducing overall stock levels and intelligent handling of stock in transit, stock rotation is improved and handing errors are reduced aswell as reducing leadtimes and ensuring improved compliance with deadlines.
